For-Profit Schools Under Fire
WTSP, The CBS station in Tampa, Florida took a close look at student complaints about for-profit colleges in this report. They talked to two former Westwood College Online students and shared several quotes from hundreds of email complaints they reviewed. The story comes just as the Senate began the first in a series of hearings about for-profit colleges and growing concerns about their explosive growth, student complaints and how much taxpayer money is going to them. During the hearing, the Department of Education’s Inspector General reported that 70% of their criminal investigations are of for-profit institutions, even though only 10% of the students pursuing higher education attend for-profits. I don’t care what westwoods statement was to this news report. Because they lied to me over the phone about regional accredidation, lied about job placement, lied about interest rates, I was misled, and so on.
They even told me that when I go to an interview, not to tell the interviewer that I ever went to Westwood College Online!
Why would the college tell me not to say anything about the online college?
I am tired of this college trying to cover up their mistakes like these things never happened. I am willing to go to court and just tell the truth, so help me God….. And this college will fall……………………
