Abandon ship. Go to a community college. Something else. Did you know schools like Westwood give you twice, if not more the debt than a normal school? At least go back to school now, with the new student loan reformation that will add more money to Pell Grants, which cover MOST of your tuition for a regular school. And plus- Westwood’s credits are useless. You can’t do anything with them.

I sent emails to CNN News and Frontline News the other day about our situation so that they can keep reporters on our case. I don’t know if it helped or not. Sallie Mae keeps telling me that they don’t know anything about this and that they will garnish my wages soon if I don’t pay what I owe on the student loans.

Rudy, I asked the Director to withdraw me from the school but he was going on and on about “what if” I leave and the school gets accredited? He says there is a strong possibility that it will be accredited soon and people are going to knock down walls trying to get into Westwood. I dont know what will happen to me if I do withdraw and they make me pay the loans right away when I dont have that kind of money on me right now – What should I do? tell me.

I am in debt to the tune of 60k from attending this college for two years. I was promised job placement in the enrollment process and that was a flat lie. I am now working for Dishnet and can’t afford to pay on the loan. DO NOT attend Westwood College as they lied to me about the job placement, and the education I received from there was not worth more than 15-20k. I wish there was some way to get my loan dismissed as the education I received was definitly NOT worth what I had to pay. I got ripped off big time. Brittany Rowe

I attend a Chicago campus, is the lawsuit only for students attending a Colorado campus or can students from other classes join the lawsuit?

Rudy,

Do not under any circumstance attend Westwood. Find another college. Their loans will kill you and the education you receive will set you further back. Employers are rejecting applicants with Westwood on their resume. I have over $60k in loans from in class an online schooling. My education was worth about $20k. They won’t get you a job no matter how much they tell you, they say they allow free retraining on software and such but wont enroll you, and much much more. For 3 years of education at $60k its just not worth it to get out and have to learn everything on your own. Best of luck.

What happened? Why are you suing Westwood College? The reason I want to know this is because I am thinking about enrolling there. If they are a school that’s full of crap, please let me know before I get suckered into enrolling. Thank you. I hope everything works out great for you.
